'Vishwaroopam' new stills: Kamal Haasan's Rs 150 crore film


Actor Kamal Haasan who lately turned 58, will be next seen in a power packed role in 'Vishwaroopam'.


Apart from playing the lead role, Kamal Haasan has also co-written, directed and co-produced 'Vishwaroopam'. So this truly his film.

This is Kamal Haasan's most ambitious project. The estimated budget of the film was Rs 150 crore and it is said to be one of the most expensive Indian film.

Kamal Haasan launched the new promo of the film on his 58th birthday, November 7.

Kamal Haasan claims that 'Vishwaroopam' is neither about terrorism nor Islam.

During an interview lately he said, " The story traverses through the adversities of war, and, therefore it may appear as though it's about terrorism, but it's not."

Haasan who is a known name in the southern film industry as well as Bollywood, understands that its a sensitive topic and claims that it won't hurt any community.

Shekhar Kapur has done a special appearance in the film.

The star cast of the film includes Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Rahul Bose and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed the music of this spy thriller.

In the promos, Kamal Haasan is seen flaunting two avatars.

This bilingual film was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Hindi with the same cast.

The Hindi version of the film is called 'Vishwaroop'.

Vairamuthu has written the lyrics of the Tamil songs. Whereas Javed Akhtar has penned the Hindi numbers.

Going by the latest promos of the film, 'Vishwaroopam' looks like a Hollywood action film.

Apart from Chennai and Mumbai, Kamal shot the film extensively in United States and Canada.

After much delay, 'Vishwaroopam' is finally ready for release and it will hit the screens on January 14, 2012.

Kamal Haasan's look in the film is fabulous. Do you think he can beat the other Bollywood spies. The war sequences will be the highlight of the film.
